You Can Change: Personal Hope for Real-life Change
January 8 – March 11
Whether religious or not, nearly every person shares the desire to change, to be different or better in some area or aspect of life. But why is genuine, internal change so difficult? Why are New Year’s resolutions usually dead by February? Why do lifelong Christians still wrestle with the same sins? Why does one person struggle for joy, another to conquer self-righteousness and judgmentalism, another to overcome materialism, another to be rid of anxiety and worry, another to kill lust in the mind and heart, and still another to deal with a shopping addiction—the list goes on and on. In the face of our doubts, this class is about hope, the hope that God gives in the Gospel that you and I can really change, that Jesus really does set us free.
