Comfort Foundation, USA/Russia
Comfort Foundation USA/Russia is a not-for-profit organization that supports critical work with orphans and underprivileged children in the Vologda Oblast of Northern Russia. Comfort Foundation currently cares for over 300 orphans and vulnerable children a week in both Vologda and Cherepovetz. The staff in Russia serves 200 children that have been abandoned and now live in state orphanages and approximately 100 abused and neglected children that regularly visit Comfort's day shelters. They come for safe nuturing and their only warm meal of the day. In addition, the Comfort Foundation staff help transition those who have grown up in their care as they move from institutionalized housing to adult living. They help them set budgets and plan for paying utilities, teach them how to cook, budget their time wisely and find jobs. They also continue to develop their camping program giving the orphans an opportunity to experience love and adventure outside the walls of the state orphanages. http://www.comfortfoundationusa.org/ or
The Micah Project, Tegucigalpa Honduras
The Micah Project is a non-profit organization which currently supports 27 young men. These courageous guys, all of whom spent anguished childhoods on the streets or in impoverished homes, are now learning to become Christian leaders through discipleship, formal education, and opportunities to serve others who are in need. Our goal is to support these young men as they learn to "act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with their God" (Micah 6:8). As you meet these special young men and discover what they have accomplished through the support of the Micah Project, we believe that you will be blessed by the way God has moved in their lives and in the lives of the many people they have touched. www.micahcentral.org

Covenant Children's Home, Manipur, India
Covenant Children's Home was started with 15 orphans in 2002 by Lian and Clara Tombing, who grew up in that area. Presently, there are 170 orphans at Covenant Children's Home, and more than 300 orphans on the waiting list. Most were orphaned by the civil war of 1997 or by parents who have died of drug addiction and AIDS. Churachandpur, Manipur, is a district plagued with civil war, drugs and prostitution - all of which exact a heavy toll on the population. This district is also a trade route of drugs from the Golden Triangle in Myanmar to India. The percentage of drug addicts and people infected with AIDS in this area is the highest in all of India. These two factors multiply orphans day after day. The Tombings hope to support 100 more orphans in 2008. In addition to the orpanage, the Tombings began Covenant School in 2004 with 200 students and currently has over 700 students in attendance today!http://www.covenantseminary.edu/pmi/lt.asp
